Charlie is the Chief Executive Officer of Maris Group, a fron­tier market investment group, which he founded in 2009. Maris has 20 investments in 8 countries in Africa, including 2 addi­tional Gold Mining investments; Karebe Gold Mining Limited in Kenya and Venice Mine Complex in Zimbabwe. Prior to Maris, Charlie developed a successful portfolio of venture busi­nesses in Afghanistan and East Africa. www.marisafrica.com.

David May
Managing Director

David has worked in mining for 39 years, and has extensive expe­rience in the establishment and management of small-scale mining operations in Africa. He has worked in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. Prior to starting CML, David started Karebe Gold Mining Limited in Kenya, and he has subsequently started Venice Mine Complex in Zimbabwe. Prior to this, David managed the Busitema Gold Mine in Uganda and before that he established Kilimepsa Mine at Lolgorian in Kenya.

James Duguid
General Manager

James is a highly experienced manager in the mining industry. Prior to joining CML as the general manager, James started Gradeforce, a company specializing in earthmoving plant and equipment hire, primarily to the mining industry. In addition, James was the owner and operator of Cobhurst Enterprises, a mining operation near Kadoma, which included mining, milling and static leach of tailings. Prior to this, James was the operations manager for Zambesia Holdings and Zambesia Geologica, a family business, which included geologi­cal consulting and exploration services. James has also held a manager role at Newmans Seed Works, a large seed-cleaning operation in Western Australia, and attained a four-year mechanical apprenticeship, class one level, at Excavating & Building Contractors, a blasting, earthmoving, construction and vehicle repair business.
